Is it forbidden to watch anime or download its pictures on Instagram, and what is the evidence for that from the Qur’an and Sunnah?

We have previously mentioned the sayings of scholars regarding the ruling on watching cartoon movies, and we favored their permissibility as long as they do not contain Sharia violations, such as including forbidden matters or concepts that contradict Islam. As long as watching them is permissible, downloading them is not problematic, with the caveat that it is better to occupy oneself with what is beneficial, such as reading or watching useful programs, and not to overindulge in watching these series due to their lack of benefit and their waste of time.
