What is the ruling on assisting someone in purchasing abortion medication, and does this assistance necessitate a Ḥadd punishment?

Abortion is absolutely forbidden unless the mother's life is endangered by the continuation of the pregnancy. The man who bought the abortion drug for the woman must repent to Allah Almighty. He is not liable for a hadd punishment, diyah (blood money), or (expiation). Rather, the diyah and kaffarah are incumbent upon the woman who took the drug and aborted.
