Does one disbelieve or sin by abandoning distributed pamphlets that contain the name of Allah, under the pretext that whoever discarded them has redacted Allah's name from them, while there is no strong presumption of that? And does one disbelieve or sin by discarding the words "Islam" and "Halal"?

It is not permissible to discard papers that contain the names of Allah the Almighty. Rather, it is obligatory to preserve and protect them from disrespect, based on His (Exalted be He) saying: "That [is so]. And whoever honors the sacred rites of Allah – it is better for him in the sight of his Lord," and "That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah – indeed, it is from the piety of hearts."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked mentioning the name of Allah except in a state of purity, which indicates the great care given to the Divine Name. Therefore, it is obligatory to preserve it by not throwing it away. It can be burned or erased. However, it is not obligatory to meticulously search through papers for the name of Allah to avoid difficulty and hardship, based on His (Exalted be He) saying: "Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you" and "He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty." And the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, the best of your religion is the easiest of it," and "Indeed, religion is ease."

As for the word "halal," it is not among the words to be glorified like the names of Allah, but it does possess a certain sanctity as it is a religious term, mentioned in the Quran, and written in Arabic letters.
