What is the ruling on the fast of someone who slept with chewing gum in their mouth and woke up to the adhan of Fajr while the chewing gum was still in their mouth?

If a fasting person spits out chewing gum upon waking up and does not swallow what mixed with it of their saliva or its taste, then their fast is valid. However, if they swallow something of that while asleep, their fast is not broken by it, because they had no intention. But if they swallow the chewing gum or their saliva mixed with its particles after waking up and after the dawn adhan, then they must make up that day. As for swallowing saliva mixed only with its taste, there is a difference of opinion on that. Chewing gum is divided into two types: a type whose particles disintegrate with saliva, and swallowing the saliva mixed with it breaks the fast; and a type from which nothing dissolves and nothing mixes with the saliva except its taste, and the majority of scholars hold that mere taste does not break the fast.
