Is it permissible for a woman to participate in the mosque's management board and to meet with men at the same table?

The prohibited mingling of men and women is that which lacks adherence to Sharia guidelines, such as physical contact, women not observing hijab, or their speaking in an enticing manner. However, merely gathering under one roof in a mosque or at one table, with adherence to Sharia guidelines, is not problematic. Indeed, the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, used to shelter both men and women, and it was said to women, "Do not raise your heads until the men are seated properly." Scholars have emphasized the prohibition of intermingling between genders due to situations where a woman might be compelled to uncover her face or behave freely while eating, and other matters that are impermissible for non-mahram men to see. If her entry into the mosque or her sitting at a table with men is free from any prohibited acts – which is rare – then there is no objection.
