How can a person follow the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger in our current era?

Following the Qur’an and the Sunnah in every era means believing in their narratives, obeying their commands, and abstaining from their prohibitions. This is achieved by seeking beneficial knowledge to understand the intent of Allah and His Messenger. One who is steadfast in guidance does not derive their way of life from any source other than them; they do not prioritize intellect, personal desire, or culture over them. They establish those under their authority upon the truth, then embark on their call, enjoining good and forbidding evil, with their heart full of love for Allah and His Messenger, relying upon Him, and fearing none but Him.
