Is it forbidden not to love certain people, whether they are religious or not, even while treating them well?

A Muslim must love righteous and pious people and hate disbelievers and disobedient people, as this is a great pillar of the religion. If hatred of a certain person enters one's heart without any action on their part, there is no sin upon them, because a person does not control their heart, and Allah has forgiven self-talk as long as it is not spoken or acted upon. Nevertheless, one must seek refuge in Allah and try to dispel such thoughts, as they may increase and turn into actions. If hatred manifests in actions such as contempt, harm, or injustice, then that is forbidden and entails sin.
