What is the ruling on writing the name of a living person next to the name of a deceased person and placing it on a plaque on the wall for remembrance?

It is prescribed for a Muslim, when afflicted by a calamity, to be patient and repeat, "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we will return. O Allah, reward me in my calamity and replace it with something better." And they should forget the calamity.

Consoling the afflicted is to strengthen them and encourage them to be patient and forget the calamity, not to stir up their sorrows. It is disliked after three days.

It is disliked to write the name of the deceased on a plaque and hang it on the wall, as it renews and incites grief.
