Does the good and righteous deed of a pious son reach his father, even if he does not supplicate for him or give charity on his behalf, and even if his righteousness was not a result of his father's teaching? And does the mother not receive a share of that?

The parents are rewarded for their child's deeds if their upbringing and guidance had an effect on the child's guidance and actions, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward like the rewards of those who follow him." However, if the child's action is merely done without their guidance, the parents are not rewarded for it, for Allah, the Almighty, said: "And that man will not have except what he endeavors." And what the deceased benefits from the deeds of others is conditioned upon dedicating the reward to him. Mere procreation is not sufficient for the parents to be rewarded for their child's deeds; otherwise, they would be punished for his disobedience. This is indicated by the hadith: "When a person dies, his deeds cease except for three: a righteous child who supplicates for him."
