Is it permissible to replace old Qur'ans with new copies in deserted mosques without the knowledge of the Imam and the custodian, given that students are attached to the old script and old copies are available in other areas?

If the Qur'ans are out of use and no longer beneficial, and there is an urgent need for them, it is permissible to take them and replace them with other Qur'ans; because if the benefit of an endowment becomes defunct in its original location, it can be moved to another location to fulfill the intent of the endower, which is to benefit from it.
