What is the ruling on working as a financial manager for a company, with the responsibility of transferring usurious interest and providing bank guarantees for imports?
It is impermissible for an employee or manager to transfer usurious interest to investors, or to provide bank guarantees that entail usurious interest, or to assist in such activities. Even if the manager does not directly sign the usurious contracts, their direct involvement in transferring usurious interest is forbidden. One must denounce and refrain from this, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it to others, its scribe, and its two witnesses," and he added, "they are all equal [in sin]." If it is possible to refrain from these services and work in something permissible, then there is no harm; otherwise, it is not permissible.
