Is it considered forbidden for a silver ring, engraved with "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah," to touch the ground during prostration in prayer?

It is reported in the Two Sahihs and other collections that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to wear his ring with the stone facing his palm. There is no mention that he, nor the Salaf, used to change the position of their rings when prostrating, which indicates that there is no harm in that. There is also no harm in wearing the ring with the stone facing the back of the hand, as Ibn Abbas and a group of the Salaf used to do so. The matter is broad regarding the placement of the ring's stone towards the palm or the back of the hand, as long as it is not placed on something impure.
