Am I obligated to divorce my second wife under family pressure, and would I be sinful or unjust if I did so?

1. It is not permissible for the family or the first wife to demand that the husband divorce his second wife, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "It is not lawful for a woman to ask for the divorce of her sister." Their action in this regard is a sin, an injustice, and an interference in matters that do not concern them. The husband is not obliged to obey them in this, especially if the second wife is committed and of good character. He should admonish his family and explain the Sharia ruling to them.

2. If the husband divorces his wife as a result of this pressure, we hope that he will not be sinful or unjust, especially if he intended to reconcile with his family and avoid problems. However, what is advised and emphasized is not to divorce this woman.
