Is it permissible to eat cheese into which a lizard fell and died, knowing that it is covered with water, and how is it purified?

The lizard is a type of gecko. If it falls into water or a liquid, it does not contaminate it, because it does not have flowing blood, as explicitly stated by Al-Ramli and Al-Nawawi.
