Working in Islamic banks, or studying medicine for a girl, or working in wedding design, or engaging in drawing nature, colors, and symbols are not forbidden. Moreover, women have vast opportunities in charitable work and calling to Allah. The original principle in Islamic law is permissibility, and what is forbidden is the exception. Jihad by fighting is specific to men, but Hajj and Umrah are jihad for women. A Muslim woman should strive for what benefits her, seek assistance from Allah, and not hasten to declare something forbidden without consulting trustworthy scholars.
