What is the ruling on vaccination against meningitis?

There is no harm in vaccinating against any disease feared to spread, as there is no difference between it and treating an existing disease. It has been authentically reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever eats seven dates from the dates of Medina in the morning, no magic or poison will harm him."
