How can a one-year-old daughter be raised Islamically?

Allah Almighty has burdened parents with the responsibility of raising their children and protecting them from the Fire. He encouraged teaching and disciplining them and commanded them to pray. It is the mother’s responsibility to raise her daughter upon the religion by diligently drawing her attention to Allah’s signs and blessings, teaching her the invocations (adhkar), teaching her proper spelling and pronunciation of the Quran, and helping her memorize the Quran and whatever is easy of hadiths related to spiritual refinement, ethics, rulings, and manners. She should prevent her from places of corruption and forbidden things, teach her how to pray practically at the age of seven, and accustom her to ask Allah. Cooperation with friends can help in this regard by gathering girls in recreational settings that include memorization competitions and encouraging the winners. When she reaches puberty, the mother seeks a righteous husband who will help her remain steadfast, while also teaching her the husband’s rights and the responsibility of raising children upon the religion.
