What should a father do if his youngest daughter abandons prayer and his two adult daughters wear the hijab improperly, despite his repeated attempts to advise them through encouragement and intimidation?

Raising children is an important and arduous task that requires effort and seeking help from Allah. The righteousness of parents is a cause for the righteousness of their children, as Allah the Almighty said: "And let those [therein] fear who, if they left behind them weak offspring, would fear for them. So let them fear Allah and speak a word of appropriate counsel." (Quran 4:9) A good example and gentleness in guidance are important. Guiding a young child involves commanding her to pray and directing her with what suits her understanding, such as depriving her of something she loves. At the age of ten, she can be disciplined [by striking] with appropriate controls. As for the two older girls, they must be firmly obligated to wear the hijab, unless a greater harm would result from it.
