The answer

Celebrating the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid) is an innovation (bid'ah). However, the denunciation of innovations and forbidden acts must be done with wisdom and gentleness, without confrontation or insults, so as not to lead to a greater harm. One must honor and be kind to one's parents and speak to them gently, because confrontation and exchanging insults constitute disobedience. Those who celebrate the Mawlid should desist from it and replace it with following the of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Young people should invite to Islam with wisdom and good admonition, while observing the conditions for enjoining good and forbidding evil.
