The answer

al-Fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim who possesses more than their sustenance and the sustenance of their dependents for the day and night of Eid. It is one saa‘ of food for the poor and the needy. If a person is poor and Zakat is obligatory upon them, it is permissible for them to receive it from others if it is given to them, unless it is a trick, such as stipulating to the giver that they return it to him for himself.
