Zakat Al Fitr

• Does the expiation for an oath (kaffarat al-yameen) - whether fasting or feeding - vary according to the financial status of the one performing the expiation at the time it becomes due and at the time it is fulfilled? And is it obligatory to provide a side dish (idam) in the feeding expiation? And is it permissible to give the expiation for an oath to Zakat al-Fitr funds?
• What is the ruling on exercising ijtihad in distributing Zakat al-Fitr to the poor based on an estimation of monthly income and family needs, and is it obligatory to inquire about whether they have received Zakat from others, and what is the maximum amount that can be given of food or money to the entitled recipient, and does the recipient's acquisition of Zakat al-Mal affect their eligibility for Zakat al-Ta'am (food)?
• What are the rulings of zakat on things owned by a currently unemployed student who has saved a small amount of money, and is zakat obligatory on it? And what should he do if he doubts his parents’ understanding of the issue of zakat al-Fitr which they pay on his behalf? And what are the consequences if there was an obligatory zakat due from him which he did not pay due to ignorance, and he does not know its amount?
• Is zakat obligatory for a relative of mine who owns a house and has eight children, and her sick husband's pension is not enough for them? And is anything due from a woman whose husband wanted to have intercourse with her during the daytime in Ramadan, and she refused, but he insisted and did so, knowing that he has passed away now?
• What is the expiation for an oath sworn not to enter his grandmother's house, then he entered it, while he was negligent in performing the expiation, thinking that it was fasting for three days? Is it permissible to fast when he is able to feed ten needy people from a future scholarship? What is the value of feeding one needy person? Is not knowing the whereabouts of the needy an excuse for fasting?
• Must the questioner return what she spent from her mother's money, and what must be returned? Is she obliged to share in the household expenses? Is her brother entitled to demand money from the mother's and daughter's salaries? Is she sinful for giving her mother's money to her brother, being ignorant of the ruling? Is Zakat al-Fitr obligatory for the sick mother?
• Is it obligatory for someone who has paid Zakat al-Fitr, or money to charitable organizations, with the intention that this is on behalf of so-and-so and that is on behalf of so-and-so, and then the organization disburses it at its appointed time, to pay it again?
• Is the Ramadan fast suspended between the heaven and the earth and not raised except by Zakat al-Fitr?
• When is it permissible to give out Zakat al-Fitr for it to be valid, and does the time of its distribution differ with the varying number of days in Ramadan, and is it permissible to give it out on the eve of Eid before the Fajr prayer?
• When is a jurisprudential issue considered one of difference, such that it is permissible for a Muslim to adopt one of the opinions therein, and what is the basis upon which a choice is made between these opinions?
• Is the statement that Zakat al-Fitr is a confirmed Sunnah and not obligatory considered a valid statement with evidence, or is it a false statement?
• Has the zakat al-fitr fallen from my brother, or was he required to have the intention of paying the extra amount, given that I paid his zakat at a higher price?

• Is it permissible to put Zakat Al-Mal (obligatory charity on wealth) into the fund designated for collecting Zakat Al-Fitr (charity of Eid Al-Fitr), with the correct intention and value?
• What is the ruling on accepting a gift from a mother who deposits her money in usurious banks and believes that this is permissible, given that there is a fatwa by Ibn Taymiyyah that permits dealing with someone whose money is unlawful if they believe it to be lawful?
• Is the questioner considered sinful for delaying the giving of Zakat al-Fitr until after Eid, and is it permissible to count what she spent in Ramadan as Zakat al-Fitr on behalf of her friend, considering the amount sent as sadaqah from her, and what is incumbent upon her to do now?
