How can one perform Iʿtikāf and what is its description in light of the lockdown due to the pandemic?

I'tikaf is the staying in a mosque for the obedience of Allah, and therefore it is not valid except in mosques for both men and women. Whoever is permitted to stay in the mosque during the lockdown, such as the Imam and the Muezzin, may perform I'tikaf. As for those who are not permitted to do so, and who are accustomed to performing I'tikaf, it is prescribed for them to make up for it after the lockdown is lifted, in Shawwal or other months, or to perform I'tikaf for twenty days in the next Ramadan. This is based on the action of the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he made up for his I'tikaf in Shawwal, or performed I'tikaf for twenty nights in another year.
