Is it permissible to abandon one's mother if she uses sorcery to harm her son, or is he obligated to remain with her despite the harm?

The questioner must explain to his mother the prohibition of magic and advise her and warn her against what she is doing, for Allah Almighty says: "And they followed what the devils recited during the reign of Solomon..." [Qur'an 2:102], and for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Avoid the seven destructive sins: associating partners with Allah, and magic..." He is not permitted to abandon her; rather, he must accompany her in this world with kindness and be patient with her harm, seeking reward from Allah, while maintaining the remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and reciting the Qur'an, especially Surat Al-Baqarah, and having certainty in Allah and supplicating for his mother's guidance and for Allah to avert her cunning and the cunning of the devils.
