Is it permissible to abandon one's mother who practices sorcery after admonishing her to no avail?

It is not permissible for a son to abandon his mother who practices magic. Rather, he must show her piety and kindness, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness." He is not permitted to obey her in matters of sin. Instead, he should advise and admonish her with kindness.

If the mother casts magic spells on her son, he must continue to show her piety and kindness while being wary of her by avoiding eating and drinking at her place, and by diligently reciting the prescribed remembrances (adhkar).
