ما هو رأيكم في كتاب مسند الشاميين؟
Musnad al-Shamiyyin is a book authored by Imam al-Tabarani (died 360 AH). He compiled it to narrate the hadiths of some people from Al-Sham, but it does not encompass all their narrators; he only mentioned those among them who narrated from the Tabi'in (successors) and their followers. The number of biographical entries in it reached eighty-nine, and the author did not include all that he narrated from them. The book's texts amounted to 3556 attributed texts, which the author arranged according to the musnads (chains of transmission) of the individuals mentioned in the biographies. He sometimes included some biographical information about the subject of the musnad. Contrary to his usual practice, this book is devoid of notes on supporting narrations (mutaba'at) and unique narrations (infradat).
