Swearing by triple divorce effects a triple divorce, and the woman becomes unlawful to her husband. She does not become lawful to him until she marries another man and her waiting period (iddah) ends, then he marries her with a new contract and dowry. As for the second divorce, it does not take effect because she has already become unlawful to him. Swearing by divorce is forbidden, and a bid'ah (innovative) divorce is prohibited.
