It is not permissible to announce lost property in mosques, because mosques were built for the worship of Allah. The prohibition of this has been mentioned in the Prophetic Hadeeth. Exceptions to this include announcing acts of obedience and good deeds, such as meals or scholarly lessons. As for worldly announcements, such as Hajj campaigns, they must be made outside the mosque.
