Will Allah forgive a young man and woman who engaged in touching and kissing but did not commit zina (fornication/adultery)? And can they get married despite reading that the zani (fornicator) marries none but a zaniya (fornicatress)? And are they considered among the zunat (fornicators)? And will their actions result in them having to repay a debt to their families? And will their future daughter be like her mother even after repentance? And if he does not marry her, will he marry a girl who did the same thing with someone else?

"Online interaction between young men and women is a gateway to temptation and corruption. Even if it does not lead to actual fornication (zina) necessitating a prescribed punishment (hadd), what occurs is a metaphorical form of zina. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, referred to such actions as zina, saying: 'Indeed, Allah has decreed for the son of Adam his share of zina, which he will inevitably attain. The zina of the eyes is looking, the zina of the ears is listening, the zina of the tongue is speaking, the zina of the hand is seizing, and the zina of the foot is stepping. The heart desires and wishes, and the private parts confirm or deny that.'

No matter how great the sin, repentance is accepted by Allah's permission, and one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin. There is no objection to marrying that woman, as repentance erases what came before it."
