What is the ruling on working in usurious banks if there is no direct connection to usurious transactions?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Every act related to usury and its institutions, whether direct, such as accounting in a bank, or indirect, is forbidden by Islamic law. Direct involvement is forbidden by the text of the hadith that cursed the one who consumes usury, its scribe, and its two witnesses. Indirect involvement is considered aiding in sin and being pleased with it, and Allah Almighty says: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah."
