Is working in banks permissible in Islamic law, given our knowledge that they deal in usury?

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses, and he said: "They are all equal." This indicates the prohibition of writing the transaction between those involved in usury and bearing witness to them, just as it indicates the prohibition of assisting in falsehood. An employee in a usurious bank will, in one way or another, contribute to the usurious process, even if he works as a guard for the bank.
