What is the ruling on saying that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, loves the people of Aleppo due to their abundant prayers upon him and their continuous glorification with their hands, and is there a connection between this and knowledge of the unseen?

Prayers and peace be upon the Prophet, peace be upon him. Remembering Allah and glorifying Him are among the best deeds. One who performs these deeds with sincerity and adherence to the Sunnah (definition) is on a great path of goodness. However, asserting that Allah or His Messenger loves a specific person or group is impermissible without proof. Saying that the Prophet loves the people of Aleppo is not permissible and is considered "stoning the unseen" (speaking about what is unknown), and it might even fall under lying about the Prophet. However, if such a statement is made with the qualification of hope (e.g., "we hope the Prophet loves them"), then there is no harm in it. The continuous presence of a rosary in hand does not indicate merit unless it is accompanied by adherence to the Sunnah and sincerity in action. Glorifying Allah using the fingers is superior.
