It is reported in a hadith that when Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad brought the head of Al-Hussein, he began poking his front teeth with a stick, and Anas said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, kissing in the same place. The question is about the validity of the statement that the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to kiss Al-Hussein on the mouth, and whether this is considered an insult to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and to Al-Hussein.

The mentioned hadith was narrated by al-Bazzar and others from Anas, and it is a reliable hadith with its narrators. There is no objection to kissing the child out of mercy and compassion on any part of his face. It has been established that the Prophet, peace be upon him, kissed Hassan and Hussein, and when Al-Aqra bin Habis disapproved of this, saying that he had ten children and had not kissed any of them, the Prophet, peace be upon him, replied: \"He who shows no mercy will not be shown mercy.\" Therefore, kissing and playing with children out of mercy is commendable, but kissing them with desire is forbidden.
