Is Allah capable of creating another god or not?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The question about the existence of a created god is fundamentally flawed. Allah Almighty is "over all things competent," "there is nothing like unto Him," "He is not to be questioned as to what He does," and He acts with wisdom. He is Allah, the One, the Self-Sufficient; He begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none comparable to Him. It is rationally impossible for there to be two gods, because either they would differ in power, in which case the stronger one would be the true God and the other subservient, or they would be equal, and then if one desired something and the other did not, an impossibility would occur. Quranic verses have proven the impossibility of multiple deities and that Allah alone is the Creator, as in His saying, "Had there been therein gods besides Allah, then verily both would have been ruined," and His saying, "Is there a god with Allah?"
