Why was woman created when her life is full of hardship and physical and psychological pain? And was she created only for the service and pleasure of man, or does she have a role in the vicegerency and development of the earth?

The purpose of creating women is not to serve men and provide them pleasure; rather, the purpose of creating all humans is to worship Allah and populate the universe. There is no difference among people except in piety. The mutual need among creation does not define the purpose of existence; instead, it is a need for aid and assistance. Allah the Almighty says: "And We have raised some of them above others in degrees, that they may take one another for subjection. And the mercy of your Lord is better than what they accumulate." (Az-Zukhruf: 32). The mercy of Allah is the primary objective of creation. Vicegerency on Earth includes all of humanity, both males and females. The Prophet (peace be upon him) addressed women as accountable individuals who bear the trust of religious obligations.
