Will our forms in Paradise be as they were in this world, or will we be more beautiful, knowing that we will be more beautiful than the Houris, and that we will return to our families rejoicing, in the very forms they had in this world?

The inhabitants of Paradise will not be deprived of what they desire, and each of them will attain what they wish for and more. The proof for this is Allah Almighty's saying: "They will have there whatever they desire, and with Us is still more" (Quran 50:35), and His saying: "and therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally" (Quran 43:71).

As for what is mentioned in the noble verse: "and return to his people, joyful" (Quran 84:9), the "people" (ahlihi) here refers to the people in Paradise, such as the Houris (maidens of Paradise), not the people of this world.

The inhabitants of Paradise will be in the best form; indeed, they will increase in beauty and handsomeness over the days. The proof for this is the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): "Indeed, in Paradise there is a market which they visit every Friday. Then a northern wind blows, showering upon their faces and clothes, and they increase in beauty and handsomeness."

The Prophet (peace be upon him) also affirmed in another hadith that the inhabitants of Paradise will be in the image of the full moon on a clear night.

Among the proofs of the beauty of the inhabitants of Paradise is that they will be in the image of the Prophet of Allah, Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him, as mentioned in the hadith narrated by Al-Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him), where the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "No one dies, whether an infant or an old person, but will be resurrected at the age of thirty-three. If he is among the people of Paradise, he will be in the form of Adam, the image of Yusuf, and the heart of Ayyub." It is well-known that Yusuf (peace be upon him) was given half of all beauty.
