What is the difference between a Zawawi and an Arab Muslim, and is it permissible for them to intermarry?

If the intended meaning of suitability is the marriage of a Muslim Arab man to a woman from the family of Al-Siddiq or from the generality of Quraysh, then scholars have differed regarding the esteemed suitability in marriage. The preponderant view is to consider religion and not lineage or wealth, and this is indicated by the actions of the Companions. Some Qurayshis married their women to non-Qurayshis, such as the marriage of Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf’s sister to Bilal, the marriage of Usama al-Kalbi to Fatimah bint Qays al-Qurashiyah, and the marriage of Miqdad al-Kindi to Duba'ah bint Az-Zubayr.
