Is it permissible to marry a widow who is the sister of Ibn al-Muqaffaʿ?
Marrying any woman is permissible, unless she is a forbidden relative (mahram), or a disbeliever who is not from the People of the Book, or notoriously immoral and dissolute, or if she is in her waiting period (iddah). Allah Almighty says: "And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous of your male servants and female servants" (24:32), and "Then marry those that please you of [other] women" (4:3), and "and the chaste women from those who were given the Scripture before you" (5:5). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Marry the affectionate, fertile woman, for I will boast of your multitude before the Prophets on the Day of Resurrection."
