What is the ruling regarding one who is unable to fast the month of Ramadan due to pregnancy, high blood pressure, and palpitations, and is she required to make up the days?

A pregnant woman is permitted to break her fast in Ramadan if she fears for herself, or her fetus, or both. If she fears for herself only, or for both of them, she is obligated to make up the fasts (qada') only if the excuse is temporary. However, if it is permanent, she may break her fast and feed the poor. If she fears only for her fetus, then she must make up the fasts and feed one poor person for each day, and the feeding should be from the guardian of the fetus's wealth.
