The answer

The employee is a private hire whose time belongs to the work, and he is not entitled to occupy it with anything other than what he is assigned; because of the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts," and the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." It is permissible to utilize free time after completing work for stock trading with the permission of the official, and its money is lawful. However, engaging in trading during work hours before its completion is forbidden, but the money earned from it is not forbidden if it adheres to the Shariah regulations for stock trading.
