What is the ruling on one who commits zina with a minor, and what should he do to repent?

Adultery is a major sin, whether committed with an adult or a minor, for Allah the Almighty says: "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an indecency and an evil way." (Quran 17:32). Whoever commits this abomination must hasten to repent to Allah, not expose Allah's covering over him, and not inform anyone. This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Avoid these abominations that Allah has forbidden. Whoever is afflicted with any of them should conceal himself with Allah's covering and repent to Allah the Almighty. For whoever exposes his misdeed to us, we shall apply Allah's Book to him."
