Is it permissible to take medication for depression without informing one's husband out of shyness, and would that be considered a sin?

There is no harm in a wife taking permissible medication without her husband's knowledge; she has the right to manage her personal affairs within the bounds of what the Shari'ah has permitted, and her husband has no right to prevent her from doing so.
