Is repentance that comes after fear of illness accepted, even though the fear did not materialize?

Your repentance is, God willing, valid, so long as it fulfills its conditions of cessation, regret, and firm resolve not to return to the sin. Perhaps Allah destined this doubt for you so that you would hasten to repent and abandon the sin. What indicates the validity of your repentance is that you have not revisited the sin after the truth of the matter became clear. If you fear that your repentance was not sincere, then renew it now, for a believer is commanded to repent in all circumstances. A person who repents may experience a defect or shortcoming, so he must repent from the imperfection of his repentance and its failure to fulfill its due.
