Are the Mu'awwidhat and other incantations of protection exclusive to Muslims, and how can a Muslim protect himself and others with them, especially if the others do not practice them and are in various different places?

A Muslim loves goodness and safety from evil for his brothers and family. It is legislated for him to fortify them by supplicating for them in their absence. As for children, it is legislated to fortify them with what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to seek protection for Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein with, saying: "I seek refuge for you both with the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every harmful creature, and from every evil eye." It is also established that he never abandoned saying: "O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly life, my family, and my wealth" morning and evening.
