The answer

The religion of Islam has three levels, which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified in the famous of Gabriel. The level of Islam in this categorization refers to all commanded outward actions and the abandonment of prohibitions. The foundations of this level and its greatest deeds are the five pillars of Islam, based on the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, statement when Gabriel asked him about Islam: "Islam is to bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, to establish the prayer, to give the , to fast , and to perform pilgrimage to the House if you are able to find a way." (Narrated by Muslim).

Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali said in his commentary on this Hadith: "As for Islam, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, explained it as apparent actions of the limbs, both verbal and physical. The first of these is: bearing witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, which is an action of the tongue, then establishing prayer, giving Zakat, fasting Ramadan, and performing pilgrimage to the House for whoever is able to find a way."

Among the evidence that all outward actions fall under the definition of Islam is what is narrated in the Sahihayn from Abdullah ibn Amr, that a man asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Which Islam is best?" He said: "To feed the hungry and to greet those you know and those you do not know." Abandoning forbidden acts is also included in the definition of Islam, as it was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "From the excellence of a person's Islam is his leaving alone that which does not concern him."

Thus, all commanded actions and prohibitions, which are outward deeds of the limbs, are included in the level of Islam according to this categorization.
