Is it permissible to pay zakat to the husband to cover house rent and purchase a car, and to the widowed mother whose deceased father's pension is insufficient, and to provide her with a housemaid?

It is permissible to give the poor husband from zakat funds if he does not find enough to cover his basic needs and the needs of those whose maintenance is obligatory upon him. It is not permissible to give to the mother from zakat funds because her maintenance is obligatory upon her children, and her care, if she cannot care for herself, is considered part of her obligatory maintenance.
