What is the ruling on naming a girl "Leenah" and "Yasmeen"?
There is no objection to naming a girl Linah or Yasmin. Linah is a small palm tree or a palm tree in general, and Yasmin is well-known. Allah Almighty says: (Whatever you cut of [the enemy's] palm trees or left standing on their trunks – it was by permission of Allah) [Al-Hashr/5].
