Is talking to a colleague about the overflowing emotions that a wife misses in her relationship with her husband considered marital betrayal and forbidden, and what should one do about it?

What you are doing—having telephone conversations with a foreign man—is a betrayal of your husband and your religion, and an act of disobedience to Allah. These are steps of Satan, by which he gradually leads a person into the abyss of sin. You must fear Allah and not surrender to Satan, for conversations between men and women, when not necessary, are a great door to fitnah (temptation/strife). The danger increases if they involve flirtation. Allah Almighty says: "Then do not be soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech." (Al-Ahzab: 32). Your husband, despite his problems, is better for you than this deceitful man who calls you, and who might be worse than him. To strengthen good companionship with your husband, take the initiative to improve your treatment and be patient, for Allah does not let the reward of the doers of good be lost. "And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good." (Hud: 115).
