How can one get rid of doubt regarding the authenticity of prophetic hadiths and ascertain their genuineness?

Ascertaining what is narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is done by directly asking people of knowledge, or by referring to their books in which they have classified hadith into sound and weak; for Allah Almighty says: "So ask the people of the message if you do not know."
