Why is the name of Jesus mentioned more often than the name of Muhammad in the Holy Quran, and why is the name of Muhammad mentioned as Ahmad in Surat As-Saff?

The name of Jesus (peace be upon him) is mentioned more often in the Quran than the name of Muhammad (peace be upon him). However, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is mentioned more frequently by his attributes (the Messenger, the Prophet, and Messenger of Allah). "Ahmad" and "Muhammad" are two names for the Prophet (peace be upon him) that have appeared in both the Gospel and the Quran. Both names express his qualities: "Ahmad" means that he is the most حمد (praising) of people to Allah, and "Muhammad" means that he possesses many praiseworthy characteristics.
