Is masturbation and watching pornography among the major sins or the minor sins, and what is their punishment in the Fire?

A believer must stay away from images and films that arouse lust and lead to disobedience, such as addiction or fornication, as this protects one from prohibitions. Watching them and persisting in doing so is a great sin, for persistence in a minor sin transforms it into a major one. However, if one sees them by chance, it is considered a minor sin. Similarly, masturbation, if it occurs once to alleviate the intensity of lust, God may forgive it because it is among the minor sins. As for persisting in it, that is among the major sins.
